Anlin SunMatrix | 4 Layers of Low-E Coating
Does the summer season have you on the hot and bothered?
Are you looking to keep your home cooler in the hot months and save some money on energy bills? When you upgrade to Anlin SunMatrix you get 4 times the solar heat performance with Anlin’s PLUS Easy Clean Exterior Coating.
Anlin SunMatrix
Anlin SunMatrix has 4 layers of energy-efficient Low-E coating that reflects and substantially reduces the amount of solar heat entering the home. SunMatrix delivers optimal solar performance during the hot months, provides winter comfort, and exceeds Energy Star requirements in all climate zones across the United States. When Anlin SunMatrix is combined with Anlin QuadraTherm, heat retention coating, you get the best values in both U-Factor and SHGC (Solar Heat Gain Coefficient).
What is Low-E
Low-E stands for low-emissivity. Low-E refers to the amount of UV (ultraviolet) rays and solar heat that is transmitted through the glass coating. The amount is based on 0 to 1 scale, 0 being the best and 1 being the worst. Low-E is designed to prevent UV rays and solar heat from passing through the windows. UV rays cause furniture and wallcoverings to fade. A Highly reflective material like silver has a low emissivity value making the 4 layers of silver on Anlin’s windows and doors with SunMatrix have lower values than the standard glass options.
Benefits of SunMatrix
- Blocks 99% of UV rays.
- Allows natural light to flow through the windows but reflects UV rays and solar heat back into the environment.
- Provides year-round comfort and energy savings.
- Exceeds Energy Star requirements.
Energy Star Requirements
Anlin SunMatrix exceeds Energy Star requirements meaning that the U-Factor and SHGC values of a window are equal or less than the value designated for each climate zone. For the warm to hot climate (Southern, South Central, and North Central) windows with Anlin SunMatrix have a U-Factor of 0.26 and a SHGC of 0.17.
PLUS Easy Clean Coating
- PLUS Easy Clean Coating is on the outside glass.
- Breaks down greenhouse gases like methane and other pollutants.
- Harnesses the sun’s UV rays to break down dirt so water can rinse it away.
- Dries 3X faster than uncoated glass, resulting in fewer visible water spots.
